Founded in the first year of Emperor Keitai’s reign (507AD),
Sorahiko Shrine is also known for its beautiful avenue of cherry trees—
yaezakura and Somei Yoshino—that bloom in spring.
Several giant cedar trees with trunks over five to six meters in girth
stand within the grounds, filling the air with a quiet, sacred presence.
It is a sanctuary of the village, watching over this land since ancient times.
